The Numbers Behind The Bengals Week 4 Disaster

2/9 – The Bengals were 2 for 9 on third down today

3 – This week was Joe Burrow’s third game without a touchdown in 2023. In the past two seasons combined, he only had one.

51.4 and 62Brad Robbins had a punting average of 51.4 yards per punt on five punts, in addition to a career long punt of 62 yards.

1 – The Bengals had one drive go into the red zone on the day. That drive ended on a 21 yard field goal by Evan McPherson.

Also 1 – The Bengals allowed Derrick Henry to be the number one ranked rusher in terms of rushing yards in Week 4 (122 yards).

2 – The Bengals only forced the Titans to punt twice on the day.

Also 2 – Two Bengals pass catchers, Drew Sample and Chase Brown, had negative receiving yards totals on the day.

Also also 2 – After Sunday’s conclusion, the Bengals have the second lowest scoring offense in the NFL. The lowest scoring team, the New York Giants, have six fewer points and play on Monday night.

211 – The Bengals had 211 yards of total yards of offense on the day.

47 – The leading Bengals receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, had 47 more receiving yards (73) than the second leading receiver, Tyler Boyd (27)

6 – The Bengals have scored 6 total points in two road games this season.

17 – Joe Burrow’s two longest completions on the day went for 17 yards, one to Ja’Marr Chase and the other to Trenton Irwin.

5 – Both teams had five penalties on the day.
