The Tampa Bay Buccaneers put on a show in New Orleans, as the Bucs toppled the Saints by a final score of 51-27. Baker Mayfield, who is now the NFL’s leader in touchdowns, was a textbook gunslinger, as he threw for 325 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions. With Rachaad White out, Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker guided the rushing offense, with the latter of the two stealing the show late in the game.

What were the numbers that defined Tampa’s fourth victory of the year?

594 – The Bucs’ offense put on their big boy pants and throttled the Saints’ defense for 594 yards, which is a single-game franchise record. It also was the second most yards allowed in Saints franchise history, only trailing a 605-yard performance by the Daunte Culpepper-led Minnesota Vikings in 2004.

2nd – The Bucs’ offense eclipsed 50 points for the second time in their franchise’s history. In September 2019, Tampa scored 55 points on a then-undefeated Rams team. Both of those games had a common factor…

2, again – As he did in that 55-point performance in September 2019, Chris Godwin scored two touchdowns on Sunday. He also totaled double-digit receptions (11) for the first time this season and logged triple-digit yards (125) for the second time this season.

2, once more – Jake Camarda only punted two times in the Bucs’ Week 6 victory; both of those punts took place in the third quarter.

27 – The Bucs’ defense allowed 27 points to the Saints on Sunday; all of those points came in the second quarter.

1 – Tampa Bay’s defense limited Rashid Shaheed to one reception for 11 yards despite seven targets from Spencer Rattler. However, the Bucs couldn’t totally contain him, as he also returned one punt for a touchdown.

194 – Sean Tucker was the offensive star for Tampa, as he logged 194 all-purpose yards. His 136 rushing yards not only was the leader among all running backs, but…

4 – He had four more rushing yards than Zay Flowers, the NFL’s receiving leader in Week 6, had total receiving yards (132). It was a standout performance from the running back, who only had 30 career rushing yards on 17 carries coming into Sunday’s game.

14 – Tucker and Bucky Irving both had 14 carries apiece. Even with Tucker’s standout performance, Irving held his own, as he logged 81 yards and a touchdown.

277 – Tampa Bay totaled 277 rushing yards on Sunday, which is the highest total thus far for any team in the 2024 season, and the third-highest total in Bucs franchise history.

1st – In the first quarter, Antoine Winfield Jr. recovered a fumble from Tykee Smith and returned it for a touchdown. It was the first touchdown of the First Team All-Pro safety’s career.

5 – The Bucs’ defensive line continued their hot streak on Sunday, as they sacked Rattler 5 times. Tampa Bay now has 15 sacks in the past three weeks.
