The Buffalo Bills have signed a couple of familiar faces to bolster their defensive line depth. Jordan Phillips and Quinton Jackson have both been signed back to the Bills active roster.

Jefferson was released by the Cleveland Browns earlier this week, but quickly found a new home with the Bills. Jefferson spent the 2020 season with Buffalo and he finished with 23 tackles, three sacks, and one forced fumble.

Phillips was released by the Dallas Cowboys after they couldn’t find a trade partner for him on Tuesday. The former second-round pick has already had two stints with the Bills, so the team is very comfortable with what they are getting from him.

One person who is excited for his new teammates is Bills quarterback Josh Allen

“Big bodies, number one,” Allen said. “The familiarity with what we’ve got going on here in Buffalo and type of men that we have in this locker room. They’ve been playing really good football; I think Q had 10-plus sacks last year, if I recall correctly. I know Phil hasn’t been playing much this year with an injury, but glad to have those two back. They’ve been, again, good locker room guys for us, and they’ll make an immediate impact on the field.”

Phillips and Jackson will be listed on the official depth chart behind DaQuan Jones and Ed Oliver, but both should see the field plenty as rotational depth pieces. With the familiarity with the playbook, expect to see them take the field on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
