The Detroit Lions pulled off a commanding victory against the Chicago Bears on the road, doubling them up 34-17. The Lions now reside at 13-2, holding the tiebreaker with the 13-2 Minnesota Vikings and a game up on the 12-3 Philadelphia Eagles. Up next are the San Francisco 49ers in an all-important Week 17 match-up.

What are the numbers that define the Week 16 victory?

13 – We gotta start with the obvious. The Lions’ win was their 13th of the season, which is the new franchise record. Weird how that happened when their season was apparently over.

82 – Jared Goff’s second-quarter TD pass to Jameson Williams went for 82 yards, his longest touchdown pass of the season.

9 – Sunday was the ninth consecutive game in which Caleb Williams did not throw an interception, a streak where the Bears have not won once.

2 – The Lions recovered two Bears fumbles in the first quarter.

59 – The Lions limited Chicago to 59 rushing yards, including 20 to D’Andre Swift.

5 – The Lions started hot, scoring points on their first five offensive drives.

2nd – Al-Quadin Muhammad recorded his second sack of the season; his first sack of the season came in the Lions’ first matchup against the Bears.

6 – Jared Goff’s elite performance has continued, as he has thrown only one interception in his last six games.

2 – Despite Detroit’s elite offense, today’s game against Chicago was only the second time in which the Lions have had both a 100-yard rusher (109 for Jahmyr Gibbs) and a 100-yard receiver (143 for Williams).

23 – As expected, with David Montgomery out, Gibbs had a heavy workload; he had a season-high 23 carries.

7 – The Lions have now won all seven of their road games this season.
