The Dolphins suffered their third consecutive loss on Monday night, falling at home to the Tennessee Titans by a final score of 31-12. The Titans’ rushing attack was the story of the game, with running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears scoring a touchdown apiece. Miami, on the other hand, failed to get any offensive momentum whatsoever, as new starting quarterback Tyler Huntley struggled to gain a rapport with his receivers.

What were the numbers that defined the Week 4 loss?

2 – Tonight was the second game in the 2024 calendar year that Tyler Huntley and Mason Rudolph were opposing quarterbacks. They squared off on January 6th, 2024, with Rudolph’s Steelers coming away victorious against Huntley‘s Ravens by a final score of 17-10.

Less than 5 – It took less than five minutes for Titans quarterback Will Levis to throw an interception to a defensive lineman.

4 – Will Levis only attempted four passes before being forced to leave the game due to a shoulder injury after attempting to dive for a first down.

0Zero points in the first half were credited to players who weren’t kickers.

10:40 – The Dolphins had possession on offense for 10 minutes and 40 seconds in the first half, as opposed to 19:20 for the Titans.

164:45 – Miami went 164:45 minutes in between touchdowns. The streak ended when Tyler Huntley took the ball in himself for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

96 – Huntley was the game’s leading passer. He threw for 96 yards. Rudolph (85) was the runner-up and Levis (25) took bronze for the night.

2 – The Dolphins accumulated two more penalty yards (98) than passing yards (96).

29 – The normally explosive De’Von Achane was limited to 29 all purpose yards. As a rusher, he averaged 1.5 yards per carry.

10 – Due to an unorthodox onside kick and penalty from Jake Bailey, the Titans’ final TD drive of the game began on the Dolphins’ 10-yard line.

3 – The Dolphins struggled to move the ball all game. In particular, three of their drives ended with the offense accumulating negative yardage. In addition, Tyler Huntley missed Tyreek Hill on three deep passes in which he had defensive backs beaten on routes. Those were the only three incomplete passes that Huntley threw to Hill all game.

45 – After scoring 12 points on Monday night, the Dolphins now have scored 45 total points in the 2024 season. They remain the NFL’s lowest-scoring offense.
