It wasn’t exactly how fans pictured it, but the Miami Dolphins got a 20-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in their season opener on Sunday The vaunted Miami offense sputtered out of the gates and didn’t start flashing until midway in the 3rd quarter. Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver put together a great game plan and the defense helped the team keep it close until strung the offense could come through and pull off then win..

Let’s review the numbers of Miami’s hard fought victory over the Jaguars

54.8 – The Dolphin’s vaunted rushing attack put up only 81 yards on 25 carries, 54.8 yards less per their average per game in 2023 but…

5 – After only running on third and short 17 times all year in the 2023 season, Mike McDaniel ran the ball 5 times on 3rd and short
