New Details Emerge On Blackhawks Streaming Option
You don’t have to be an industry insider to know that there’s a massive upheaval going on in the world of sports broadcasting. You could just be someone who’s trying to figure out how the heck to watch the Chicago Blackhawks on a given night.
Since the Blackhawks left NBC Sports Chicago, they’ve teamed up with the Bulls and White Sox to form the Chicago Sports Network. CHSN sounded like a good idea to fans, except for the fact that many were shut out of ways to watch these teams due to the lack of agreements with some major cable and streaming outlets.
That’s going to be rectified this week, as fans will be able to buy directly into the CHSN app that will premiers today. Blackhawks Chairman Danny Wirtz has emailed full season-ticket holders to announce that they’ll have complimentary subscriptions to watch the team’s games on their app. But no one’s getting left out in the cold — Blackhawks fans can sign up for $19.99 a month to watch games (or $29.99 monthly to add the Bulls and White Sox).
