Buffalo Bills fans hoping for a passing attack at something resembling full strength as the Kansas City Chiefs come to town on Sunday got some bad news on Friday. At his Friday press conference, Sean McDermott ruled Dalton Kincaid out for the Week 11 showdown. The second-year tight end is dealing with a knee injury suffered after an awkward landing in Week 10’s win against the Indianapolis Colts.

Kincaid was on his way to more-or-less matching his stellar rookie season. He was on pace for 58 catches (73 in 2023), 605 yards (673), and three touchdowns (two). Part of that decline in catches and yards is due to Josh Allen only throwing 299 times this season, on pace for a 508-attempt season which would be his lowest since 2019. Still, Kincaid has been Allen’s favorite target, with the tight end getting 19.7% of Allen’s attempts thrown his way.

With Kincaid and Keon Coleman out, the hopes for help on the way for Sunday fall entirely on Amari Cooper. The newest Bills receiver is listed as questionable to play against the Chiefs, but when the media asked him on Thursday whether he’d think he could play, Cooper responded, “Yeah, I do.” The former Cleveland Brown and Dallas Cowboy was a boost in his Week 7 Bills debut, a 34-10 win over the Tennessee Titans, registering four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. He hasn’t played since leaving early in Week 8 with a wrist injury.
