Tee Higgins Requests A Trade

On Monday the seemingly inevitable happened. Tee Higgins requested a trade from the Cincinnati Bengals.
Despite feeling like an obvious progression of the situation, the news still comes as a blow to Bengals fans who have watched Higgins blossom into a fan favorite and a true lover and supporter of their City. Both Higgins and his mother expressed their deep affection for the city and the fan base after news of the request went public.
Unfortunately the NFL is a salary cap league. When you have a superstar quarterback and a superstar receiver on big deals there will be cap casualties like this. It is now on the organization to get a decent enough return on the talented receiver to continue to keep the roster clicking at a Super Bowl contending level.
