Jonah Williams signed a 2 year, $30 million deal to play for the Arizona Cardinals. With his departure, the Bengals are now looking to replace the 11th overall pick from 2019. One of the players they are considering as a replacement option is the 11th overall pick from exactly one year later.

While Becton is an absolutely massive human being (6’7”, 363 pounds), he hasn’t lived up to the 11th overall draft selection that the New York Jets used on him. He only played in one game for the Jets from 2021-2022 due to injuries. In addition, while he played in 16 games in 2023, he was flagged for 18 penalties, second most in the NFL in 2023, and allowed 12 sacks, which was tied for the most in the league last season.

Becton, who has played nearly 90% of his career snaps at left tackle, could provide depth at a low cost for Cincinnati while the Bengals continue to address their issues at offensive line. He could even be a short-term answer as Cincinnati’s starting right tackle in 2024, a position at which he does have some experience.
