Ja’Marr Chase just received a gift from one of the greatest athletes of the 21st century.

LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, recently gifted both Chase and Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray with Fruity Pebbles-themed cleats based on LeBron’s Nike 4 Vapor Edge shoes from 2006. Both football players also received custom Fruity Pebbles boxes with their images on them.

(Rumor has it: the image of Kyler on the cereal box is actual size)

Ja’Marr unboxed the shoes in a video for Instagram. Upon opening the box, he pulled out a Fruity Pebbles-themed shoebox, which had his cleats inside, as well as a heavily bubble wrapped box of Ja’Marr Pebbles. When he got his first look at the shoes, he couldn’t help but notice the sleek design.

“These clean as hell,” Chase said in the Instagram video.

It did not take long for Chase to sport the cleats, as he put them on during yesterday’s practice session.

Though he is known for his work on the hard court, LeBron has a long history and love for the game of football. In high school, he was an all-state wide receiver at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s high school in Akron, Ohio who led his team to the state semifinals as a junior.

Even as a pro basketball player, James will regularly send out tweets regarding NFL players, just like he did about Joe Burrow during his rookie year.

It would be no surprise to see Ja’Marr Chase wear the cleats for Thursday night’s showdown against the Baltimore Ravens. If he does, it would be even less of a surprise to see the LA Lakers star tweet about the Bengals’ star receiver’s kicks.
