It’s no secret that, despite the Bengals tumultuous season, Joe Burrow is having a career year.

His insane numbers have some experts and analysts putting smack dab in the middle of the of MVP conversations despite the teams 4-7 record. As of this week you can add NFL legend Kurt Warner to that list.

It’s hard to find a better analysts in today’s NFL media landscape than Kurt Warner. The former MVP has turned his Hall Of Fame knowledge into a successful role on NFL Network and as color commentator for Westward One. But for those football heads who truly love the breakdown of the nitty gritty, Warner has an absolutely excellent film break down show on NFL+ called Kurt’s QB Insider where he  breaks down film with an insightful simplicity that is easily consumable.

Here he is showing us exactly what makes Burrow so special and making his case for MVP.

“You put all of this together and it makes a case for Joe Burrow to be the MVP” Warner quipped after breaking down the Bengals QB.

Now of course the NFL will never give their most important award to a player on a losing team(as Warner mentions,) but Burrow’s play should challenge that thinking. At the very least, while much of the media around the team focuses on the poor situation the organization has put its most talented players in, fans can take perhaps take solace in the idea that Burrow is playing so well that if the team doesn’t start spending on and off the field that it will cause a national outrage across the leagues media landscape.
